Appalachian Trail Adventures is Excited to Announce its New Hiking Vacation Packages

March 6, 2011

Killington, VT (PRWEB) February 7, 2011 — Appalachian Trail Adventures (ATA) is a unique destination for vacationers seeking an active vacation. We are designed for hikers of all abilities, offering daily guided kayaking adventures and hikes in the Green Mountains of Vermont along the Appalachian Trail and the Long Trail.

We provide an affordable all-inclusive fitness vacation, giving a real Vermont outdoor adventure. That’s why we have the best spa or hiking vacation at the lowest possible prices. Unlike most spas, ATA’s owner John Keough is engaged daily with the guests, encouraging them to get out of the fitness classroom and go hiking and kayaking. “Why would you come to Vermont or to any spa elsewhere and spend your time exercising indoors in a closed room when you could be outdoors obtaining the same results while exploring Mother Nature?”

This year ATA is offering a variety of new vacation packages to help customize one’s all inclusive vacation. The Hiking Vacation (H.V.) is ideal for those guests whose main concentration is hiking with kayaking and excursions to complement the day. The H.V. consists of an air conditioned room with three daily spa meals; snacks; guided novice, intermediate or advanced hike, and kayaking, caving or an excursion.

The Hiking & Yoga Vacation (H.Y.V.) is designed for those guests seeking to unwind after hiking with a daily yoga class. The H.Y.V. consists of an air conditioned room with three daily spa meals, snacks, guided novice, intermediate or advanced hike, and kayaking, caving or an excursion with an afternoon yoga class.

The Hiking Spa Vacation (H.S.V.) is ideal for those seeking to unwind after hiking daily with an hour long massage of your choice. The H.S.V. consists of an air conditioned room with three daily spa meals, snacks, guided novice, intermediate or advanced hike, and kayaking, caving or an excursion plus an $80 credit towards a daily massage.

The Hiking & Tennis Vacation (H.T.V.) is for those guests seeking to hone their racquet skills and consists of an air conditioned room with three daily spa meals, snacks, guided novice, intermediate or advanced hike, and a daily hour long tennis lesson, with limited kayaking, caving or an excursion.

The Healthful Living Vacation (H.L.V.) is developed for those guests seeking to jump start a new diet or those guests who would like to meet with a registered dietician to discuss a variety of nutritional issues. The H.L.V. consists of an air conditioned room with three daily spa meals; snacks; guided novice, intermediate or advanced hike, and kayaking, caving or an excursion. The H.L.V. also includes a one hour personalized nutrition session and cooking demonstration with ATA’s registered dietician. MINIMUM STAY OF THREE NIGHTS REQUIRED.

The Kayaking Vacation (K.V.) is designed for those guests seeking a getaway with a full day of river kayaking adventure. The K.V. consists of an air conditioned room with three daily spa meals, snacks, guided all day river kayak trip and an excursion. Please note this vacation is only available for one to three nights stay.

“In collaboration with registered dietitians we have created a delicious spa menu for those seeking healthier meals, ATA is able to cater to special dietary restrictions and offer two serving sizes. These are a smaller portion and a larger hiker’s portion so our guests can have customized meals. This enables ATA to cater to couples, athletes, weight loss vacationers, as well as to all those with no dietary restrictions who seek to eat healthily. ”

ATA guests stay at the Summit Lodge, which is known for its personalized service. Situated on eleven acres, the lodge offers all the cozy, traditional pleasures of a Vermont country inn, along with air-conditioned rooms and a small spa for those guests who are looking for massage therapy.

ATA’s 2010 season runs from May 27th through October 10th, 2011
